This Honeymoon Safari & Zanzibar itinerary starts at the lush Lake Manyara and continues to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Zanzibar. You will have the best of what Tanzania offers.
Day 1: Arrival
Our representative will meet you at the arrival point and then take you to the Rivertrees Country Inn in Arusha where you will receive a briefing on your honeymoon safari. Located on the banks of the scenic Usa River on an old German coffee estate, this charming lodge offers breathtaking views of Mt. Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Alternative accommodation at Lake Duluti Lodge. Dinner is included in the price. Note: If you are arriving at an airport other than Kilimanjaro we will arrange a connecting flight to Arusha either on arrival or the following day (at an additional cost). Road transfers in private or shared vehicles are also possible from Nairobi
Day 2: Lake Manyara
After breakfast, your honeymoon safari and Zanzibar vacation continues to Lake Manyara. Remarkably beautiful, the park is tucked away at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Numerous game creatures, including buffalo, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippopotamuses, and others, are visible. Spend the night at Escarpment Luxury Lodge, which has a view of Lake Manyara.

Day 3: Serengeti
You go for Serengeti National Park after breakfast. There will be a picnic lunch available. You will make a stop along the route to the Olduvai Gorge, where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey produced a number of important finds that helped support the hypothesis that the origins of human life were in Africa. You will proceed deeper into the park and embark on a wildlife drive after pausing for your picnic lunch atop a kopje (rock protrusion) in the Serengeti environment. Day 4: Serengeti
Before we go for an early morning wildlife drive in the park, you will enjoy breakfast at the Lodge. With almost two million animals participating in the Migration, it occurs year-round. This remarkable phenomenon may be visible depending on the season. Of course, this draws a lot of predators, and you might be able to spot a group of lionesses getting ready for a hunt. After a hearty lunch, you will head back to your lodge to refuel for the afternoon wildlife drive. Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp Serengeti. All meals included.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Take an early morning wildlife drive to see animals waking up in the early light and nocturnal predators returning from their prey. Proceed with your game drive to Naabi Hill Gate and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area after breakfast. You will go on an afternoon walking safari on the northern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, home to buffalo, elephants, baboons, monkeys, and other bird species, following lunch and some relaxation at your lodge. Through deep wilderness, you follow animal paths accompanied by an armed ranger. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Plantation Lodge All meals included.
Day 6: Ngorongoro
Enjoy a fantastic game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, which is frequently cited as one of the world’s wonders, after breakfast and bring a picnic lunch. For the numerous animals that call it home, it serves as a natural sanctuary and is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The rare black rhinoceros can be seen in its natural habitat in just a few locations. You can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, numerous birds, and countless other species, as very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000-foot walls. Spending the night in the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge—unrestricted luxury on the crater rim—you have the opportunity to see the “Big Five” on a single game drive, if fortune favors you. Day 7: Arusha – Zanzibar
After breakfast we will visit a Maasai Village at Ngorongoro then proceed to Arusha where your honeymoon safari ends and you take your flight to Zanzibar.

Day 8-10: Beach Resort Zanzibar
Relax and enjoy Zanzibar’s Beaches around your resort. Breakfast and dinner.
Take a guided tour of Stone Town and Spice Town in a single day. Go on the well-known spice tour by first visiting the Kidichi spice plantations. Our specially designed spice tour includes comprehensive information not only about spices but also about herbs grown organically and their traditional applications in medicine, cosmetics, and cooking. We cordially invite you to a delectable lunch in the “Spice Restaurant” following the tour, where you can sample the fruits and spices. We’ll give you a historical tour of Stone Town in the afternoon. This tour takes you through Stone Town, a legendary place where time seems to have stopped. You will get a fascinating understanding of the essence of Zanzibar with visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace), and the Arab Fort, among other places. Return to your beach hotel after witnessing Zanzibar’s vibrant market, narrow streets, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals, and an endless number of mosques.
Day 11: Departure
Your honeymoon safari and Zanzibar vacation is coming to an conclusion. Make your way to the airport in Zanzibar to depart. NB: We will set up airline connections to your departure airport if you are departing from an airport other than Zanzibar (ferry boats may also be available to Dar Es Salaam).
